Bryan County Schools is proud to announce the achievement and status of the Georgia School Boards Association’s (GSBA) 2019 Quality School Board recognition. “This most recent recognition by the Georgia School Boards Association affirms and highlights the Bryan County Board of Education's commitment to excellence and success for all students, faculty, staff, and community. This recognition is something that should be celebrated by all stakeholders, as the future of Bryan County Schools has never looked brighter!” said Superintendent Dr. Paul Brooksher.
The Bryan County Board of Education met and/or exceeded the criteria set forth by GSBA to earn the honor of a 2019 Quality Board. This year 21 of the 180 public school boards earned the Quality Board status. “The Bryan County Board of Education is committed to ensuring excellent educational opportunities for each and every student. We believe in the value of strong leadership and we support and promote excellence and success at every level. As members of the Board, we must first hold ourselves to the highest standards and reach for the loftiest goals as part of our role in governing. Each and every individual member of the Governance Team is committed to making this Quality Board Award a priority. Our hope is that the community we represent will see this recognition as a sign of our commitment to our students, our employees, and the entire Bryan County community,” said Mrs. Amy Murphy, Chairman of the Bryan County School Board.
The GSBA Governance Team Recognition Program was developed by Georgia superintendents and board members based on the state board of education’s standards for effective governance. This recognition program is designed to showcase best practices in school governance and leadership. GSBA recognizes good school board governance to foster educational community cultures in order to advance student learning and achievement.
