PBIS at McAllister Elementary School

What is PBIS?

  • PBIS is a positive approach to behavior that focuses on teaching, recognizing, and rewarding appropriate behavior rather than simply disciplining misbehavior. Think of it as treating behavior like reading or math—when a child struggles, we teach and practice the skills they need to be successful instead of correcting them when they get it wrong.

  • Students will be awarded consistently with McTickets when they follow the expected behaviors- our PAWS pledge!

At McAllister Elementary School, Wildcats:

Have a Positive Attitude

How does PBIS work at MES?

  • We use a combined system of tangible and digital recognition for awarding McTickets and allowing students to shop for rewards.

  • Students can earn McTickets in all areas of the school for following “PAWS” expectations. Review our school-wide expectations matrix here.

  • You can also learn how to access your child’s PBIS Rewards, our digital platform for awarding and spending McTickets, here.

Thank you for partnering with us to support a positive and safe school!
